This talk introduced the work to presented in Session 2: RETROFIT FOR IMPACT: SUSTAINABILITY BENEFITS IN URBAN AIR STRATEGIES. The principle methods and process applied for overall sustainability assessment based on risk assessments, social and environmental life-cycle assessment as well as economic impact assessment on social costs were presented.
