This version of the GSPD is intended for testing of manufactured nanomaterials. It provides guidance on sample preparation for nanomaterials in general. However, some classes of nanomaterials, e.g. multi-component nanomaterials, advanced (nano)materials, coated or functionalised nanomaterials or nanomaterials with specific morphologies (e.g. fibres forming bundles or 2D materials) may require additional considerations of sample preparation before testing.
