Ana Sofia Fonseca (♀), MSc, PhD. researcher. She obtained her PhD in 2016 from the University of Barcelona (Spain), with a thesis centered on occupational exposure to engineered nanomaterials.
Her research combines interdisciplinary approaches, including materials' physicochemical analysis, real-time and integrated exposure monitoring, and the development and application of risk assessment tools to support preventive strategies in workplace environments.
She contributes to national and international expert groups and collaborative efforts aimed at advancing the understanding and regulation of exposure to chemical substances, supporting the development of evidence-based policies and practices.
