Project Details

Description

The proportion of employees in Denmark, which reports to have a physically demanding work and has musculoskeletal disorders, increases despite a number of efforts made in the workplace.
Typically, the workplaces have focused on educating employees through courses in ergonomic postures and the use of assistive devices, but this alone do not seem to have the desired effect.
Lack of effects of this type of employee-focused efforts may be due to the fact that certain factors in either the organization or at management or team level are crucial for the use of aids and low-load ergonomic postures, as well as for the development of musculoskeletal disorders. However, in the research we lack documentation on factors at the organization, management, team and / or employee level at the workplace, which are essential to avoid physical overload and musculoskeletal disorders among the employees.
