Description

The Change Competency Intervention focuses on training managers competencies related to issues such as addressing resistance to change and ensuring support to the change process. The project is carried out in collaboration with consultants from the change agency Workz and the workshops are based on a serious games approach, where simulations of change events are key training tools in combination with dialogue and reflection.
The intervention project uses a cluster-randomized design with 10 departments in Novozymes A/S participating. The evaluation design draws on realist evaluation and uses a mixed methods approach to collect survey, interview, observation and audio/video recordings of workshops. The training workshops have been completed and final data collection for the evaluation will be completed in May 2018. Implications of the study are potentially wide-ranging as solutions to ensure successful and healthy organizational change are sought after.
