Research interests
My current research interests include:
- The physicochemical characteristics of minerals as well as micro- and nano-size materials and their hydrochemical reactivity (biodurability, caustic and oxidative stress, protein adsorption) and their correlation with adverse health effects (the air-ways have current focus)
- Characterization and assessment of inhalation exposures in occupational environments using release studies, simulated work and work-place measurements.
- Methods development within physicochemical particle and material analysis and in toxicological testing as well as modelling-based occupational exposure, hazard, and risk assessment.
